- Headmaster at St. Andrew's College in Aurora (1958-1974)
- Honorary Degree in "Doctor of Letters" from York University
- Member of University of Toronto Senate (which was five committees)
- Director of University of Toronto (University Extension Department)
- Former member of the Toronto Argonauts for the 1936, 1940 & 1941 seasons
- Head Coach at the University of Toronto's Varsity Football Team
- During the Second World War (1942-1945) he enlisted as a pilot and became a Flying Officer earning his Pilot's wings
