In the Pink – Pink Shirt Day (Feb 28, 2018)

Runnymede’s Mental Wellness Committee, Thrive, will be
promoting Pink Shirt Day on February 28th, 2018.

In 2007, two senior students at a school in Nova Scotia saw a grade 9
boy being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They took action and
encouraged others in their school to wear something pink to
school and to take a stand against bullying.  Within a year, the
story had gone viral and schools across Canada had joined
the cause. We are encouraging all Runnymede students to wear a Pink
Shirt to school on Wednesday February 28th to show your
awareness and support for making our school a Bully-free
zone. Other uniform rules (including black pants) will still apply for that day.

Any questions or concerns please contact Ms. McCrimmon and the Thrive team!
